With tactics like impersonation, inbound voice fraud, and network-hopping on the rise, Twilio stressed that STIR/SHAKEN is essential—but not sufficient.

To build real trust, they argue, the industry needs full IP-to-IP routing and layered authentication signals like KYT (Know Your Technology) on top of traditional KYC.
