Dear Friends of The Docket Digest,

The first full week of government working, the FCC’s triennial review of STIR/SHAKEN closed its comment window, and the docket lit up with filings from T-Mobile, CTIA, Numeracle, USTelecom, and nearly every major stakeholder in telecom fraud mitigation.

Everyone agrees STIR/SHAKEN is necessary. No one thinks it’s enough.

Full IP interconnection, stricter attestation rules, RCD as the new identity layer, and real KYC enforcement, all of it was on the agenda. If the first era was about implementing STIR/SHAKEN, the next one is about making it trustworthy.
