Today’s hottest docket was the FCC Notice of Inquiry (NOI) on improving customer service in the cable, VoIP, and carrier industries. Nearly all filers oppose the idea of the FCC prescribing customer service best practices. Depending on the comments you read, the opposition argues that such measures would be too prescriptive, unnecessary, or simply a bad idea. The IBEW, on the other hand, thinks that standards for customer service in the cable industry need to be improved.
